When we toured Oak Park Retirement Resort, I really liked the feel of the community. It was very updated, and very organized. It was just very nice and very pleasant. Not only did the facility manager come to give us a tour, but some of the other staff came up to greet us, to let us know that they were there all the time. She was very warm and welcoming; she gives you a feeling of confidence.
Happy hour, fitness classes, trips to the mall or trips abroad... An entire team dedicated to a resident-centered experience for peace of mind. Website photographs feature Belmont Village residents and staff members from a variety of our communities. The one-bedroom is very large but not worth the asking price. In addition to the amenities that are included with each of our programs, many a la carte services are also available. Since 2017, we’ve been dedicated to providing our residents with comfortable and personable care, rather than a medical, clinical and sterile environment.

The facility is nice and the staff has been nice. My mother seems to be pretty happy there, so we're very glad about that. All of them have access to on-campus staff that stays there.
The apartment came with a full kitchen; a stove & oven, a microwave above it, about 3 quarters sized fridge and quite a bit of cabinet space. They also have washer and dryer hook ups. Overall I would definitely recommend Oak Park Retirement Resort to others. This empowers you to create a customized care plan that meets your unique needs, preferences and abilities so you can feel your best each and every day. It has washers and dryers on each floor. It's like an upscale hotel dining room. It's got very nice tables and chairs, and it's very nice and luxurious. They take very good care of the facility. I get housekeeping once a week and linen service provided for my sheets and towels.
I really enjoyed meeting the other seniors, too. You have your own apartment with a little kitchenette, and it was not like living in just one room. The first one was big and had an alcove for your bed, a balcony, a big bathroom, a living area, and a little kitchenette, which doesn’t have a stove, just a refrigerator. They serve three meals a day and a snack. They have activities and take you places.
Chartwell Oak Park Terrace is a charming retirement home centered on active and independent senior living. The Oak is not an assisted living, but it has everything that I need, and I can take my dog with me there. The meal that I received when I visited was very good.
It's all independent but they offer a list of home health care specialists that you can contact to come in if you need more assistance. Everything there was exactly like living in your home, except that you're not. The staff was wonderful, and the directors live on site. There's a lot of activities and a lot of transportation offerings. It's not a contract so you don't buy into it. It's a month-by-month thing and that was a real positive.

She doesn't do her own cleaning because they have a cleaning staff. She doesn't do her own laundry because they have someone that comes in and can do your laundry, so she's got her laundry service. And so basically she is in her apartment, but she's not there by herself.
I didn't like that they didn't have a nurse on staff and no courtyard.
